September 1, 2009 in response to allegations made today in the media out of Toronto.

The report being referenced in a recently published article was a confidential document written in December 2008. The document is consequently nine months old, and the issues and concerns raised in the report have all been reviewed and addressed with Bear Mountain Resort's Executive Committee and investors.

The report also contains conclusions that were drawn without steps being taken to discuss, clarify and review matters with me prior to finalizing the report, and as a result contains statements that I believe to be misleading and erroneous.

The partners and Executive Committee of Bear Mountain Resort are continuing to work together to operate and develop Bear Mountain, and are presently in the final stages of a plan that I believe will be very positive not only for the partners, but for Bear Mountain Resort as a whole.

This is my only comment at this time. Thank you for respecting the significance of the timing of this article and the importance of continuing to focus on what is best for Bear Mountain and my interest in the Tampa Bay Lightning.
