Golf season has arrived on Bear Mountain – be sure to protect your skin on the golf course! Wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Apply before you leave for the golf course – and reapply throughout the day. Your hair doesn’t protect your head, so remember to wear a hat! A wide-brimmed hat will help protect your ears and the back of your neck – two areas usually forgotten with sunscreen.
The sun’s UV radiation is strongest between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. You can reduce your sun exposure by booking your tee time early in the morning or later in the day. Remember, your skin can burn even on cloudy days! Wear sunglasses that block UV rays, and clothing that covers as much skin as possible. Remember to drink plenty of water. Dehydration can result in fatigue, headache, and loss of concentration – all of which affect your game!
Add sun protection to your golf bag – keep a bottle of sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and refillable water bottle in your bag, so you’ll never be without!
After golfing, relax with a treatment at Sante Spa Victoria! Our Rejuvenation for Golfers treatments are specifically designed to meet your needs after a hard day on the course.
