SUMMARY:Winter Sounds at the Westin
DESCRIPTION:This holiday season\, enjoy the Winter Sounds at the Westin\, presented by the West Shore Arts Council and th e Westin Bear Mountain. \nWinter Sounds at the Westin is an afternoon of festive art\, music\, and performance at the Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa. On Sunday\, December 10th from 2-5pm\, experience the many Winter Sounds at this family-friendly community event which celebrates local arts and culture. \nCatch the Christmas Tree Light-up at 2pm in the resort lobby\, with musical accompaniment from the Pacific Edge Chorus. This all-female group of a capella singers will be performing every half-hour near the lobby fireplace. On the way to the Ballroom\, enjoy music from the Sooke Philharmonic String Quartet and a live artist demo from a member of Coast Collective Art Centre. \nDon’t forget to enter the draw to win an original painting by a local artist. Performers from Four Seasons Musical Theatre will perform short Christmas themed theatrical presentations every half-hour starting at 2:45 in the Ballroom. \nFor those still looking for a unique gift\, handmade wares will be available for sale from Indigenous artisans of the M’akola Group of Societies. \nCoffee\, tea\, cocoa\, and spiced cider will be also be on offer. \nFree and open to the public\, Winter Sounds at the Westin includes festive entertainment for the whole family!
