Drop-in Drill Sessions

Targeted start date; April 11th thru to June 24th: 90 min session
Fee: $25/member $30/public

Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:30am – 12:00pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Saturdays 10:30am – 12:00pm

These drill sessions are for men and women, from novice to advanced skill levels, and are a great way to develop and hone your tactical and technical skills, hit a lot of balls and get a great workout. We will use two courts with a maximum of 12 students and 2 Pros.

Attendance will be based on a first come, first serve basis. There are two ways to sign up:

1) If you wish to ensure you have a spot, please call the tennis office 250-391-3778 after 6 am on the day of the drill session. Phone in “day of” reservations will close one hour prior to each drill session. If all 12 spots have been reserved, you will be contacted and notified that the drill session is full.

2) You can also sign up on court with the coach! A sign in sheet with any unreserved spots will be available at the hard courts 15 minutes prior to each drill session. Drop in availability cannot be guaranteed and will depend on first come first serve availability.

Summer 2017 Programs

All the Bear Mountain Tennis Professionals will be Tennis Canada certified coaches and members in good standing of the Tennis Professionals Association of Canada

 

Adult "Hellweeks"

Offered throughout the summer, Adult “HELLWEEK” camps are 1.5 hour daily training sessions run over 5 consecutive days. There is a maximum of 4 players per group, with a minimum of 2 per group. Coaching fees fluctuate based on the size of the group.

Camp times: 9:00am to 10:30am or 10:30am to 12:00noon or 5:00pm to 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Hellweeks are offered every second week during the summer June 26th to Aug. 25th

July 24th to 28th
Aug. 8th to 11th (4 days)
Aug. 21st to 25th

If you have a group and the set schedule doesn’t work, you may also set up your own customized “Hellweek”.

This program is for future champions, ages of 4 and 5 and gives your child a fun and enjoyable introduction to a challenging game. We will be using special half court tennis equipment to help make this a great experience for our top seeds of tomorrow.

Each lesson is 45 minutes long from 9:15 am to 10:00 am every day for one week. 9:15 am to 10:00 am.

"Tiny Tots"

 

Junior Recreational “Kids Camps”

A great way to get your kids busy on the courts and provide them with a fun, recreational activity.

The “Kids Camp” is an all tennis program for juniors between 6 and 12 years of age. It will provide them with a great introduction to the game, along with enthusiastic and encouraging coaching. Minimum 4 per group.

Morning Camps 10:00 am to 12:00 noon

Kids Camps are offered every second week during the summer starting July 4th to Sept. 1st

Camp Fee for the week (5 days): $159 / members, $189 / public

Designed for more competitive players ages 8 to 16 years, who have been, or wish to be, introduced to competitive and tournament play.

The “Competitive Training Camps” emphasize skill development with training focused on drills to improve technical and tactical skills.

Participants will implement these skills in match play, focusing on improving their mental and competitive abilities. Minimum 4 per group.

Afternoons 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Junior “Competitive Training Camps"

 

Junior “Day Camps" Cycling, Tennis and Golf

Designed for Juniors ages 8 to 13 years, “Day Camps” will provide your child with a great day of activity supervised by Bear Mountain’s Professional staff in each sport! Juniors may bring their own lunches and snacks or may purchase lunch at the Resort. Cycling, tennis and golf equipment will be available, and appropriate attire must be worn for each activity. Minimum 4 per camp.

Cycling 8:30 am to 11:00 am
Tennis 11:00 am to 1:30 pm
Golf 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm
Pick up 4:00 pm

Junior “Day Camps” are offered every week during the summer July 4th to September 1st. Day camps will not be run on holiday Mondays and fees will be pro-rated.
