Calling all artists: Design trophy for Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship

Posted on March 9, 2017

Organizers of the 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship tournament are asking fans to design the trophy to be awarded to the victor of the PGA Tour Champions event in September.

The submission period is already open for designs, which should incorporate the nature of golf and celebrate the winner, PGA Tour Champions, the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship and the scenic and natural landscape of the Island.

The submission period will remain open until March 31 before entries will be reviewed by the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship team, which will determine the top three designs. The public will then vote for the winning design, which will serve as the inspiration for the official tournament trophy.

Prizes — which include four Champions Clubhouse tickets to the event, inside the ropes access on Saturday, a round of golf for four with carts on the Valley Course during event week and Pacific Links championship apparel package — will be awarded to the winner, who will also be included in the trophy presentation.

According to the rules, the contest is open to people of all ages in the province of B.C. and submissions are not limited to any material or size. There is only one submission allowed per person and only one person shall be the winner.

For more information, contest rules and regulations, or to submit your design, go to pacificlinkschampionship.com and click on the spectators tab.

The 2017 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship week is set for Sept. 11-17 at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort and ticket packages are on sale now.
