Sunday, February 12th
- Cycling
Due to slippery and slushy trail conditions, we will regretfully not be able to offer bike rentals and guided mountain bike rides during the Family Day weekend. As consolation, we invite you to sign up for other family events at Bear Mountain coming up in March.- Option – 1: Register and sign up for the Trek Tykes Bike Ride on Sunday March 5. Entry is free.
On Sunday, March 5, Bear Mountain will invite families, youth, and local enthusiasts to have their own Bear Mountain cycling experience. Youth will be invited to the Trek Tykes Bike Ride with Champions, a free event in partnership with the South Island Mountain Bike Society that offers guided rides by age group with special appearances by some of Canada’s champions. Food, beverages, and lots of cool prizes will be on hand.- What you’ll need to participate:
- Your Bicycle (In safe working condition)
- A properly fitting helmet
- To be between 4 and 12 years old

- What you’ll need to participate:
- Option – 2: Sunday March 12 – 10am to 12pm (Discover Mountain Biking lead by Adam Walker)
- This free session (1:30 for the little rippers and 2 full hours for the pre-teen shredders) is designed to introduce kids to the love of riding in a fun, safe environment with Professional Coach and former Canada Cup Mountain Bike Champion, Adam Walker.
- Skills we will present will be:
- Position and Balance
- Braking control and shifting gears
- Cornering at higher speeds
- Terrain Awareness – Choosing a line
- Beginner trail riding techniques

- Bear Mountain Tennis Centre tours 1pm to 4pm. Come and meet new Tennis Director Russ Hartley

- Coloring contest and snacks
- Contest prizing is a free junior golf lesson
- Stop in at the Presentation Centre and see all of the exciting new opportunities there are to become a homeowner at Bear Mountain Resort. There will be plenty of snacks and a colouring contest for the little ones.
At the end of the weekend we will take all of the great entries and draw for a free junior golf lesson at our Bear Mountain Golf Academy.
Monday, February 13th
- Free shuttle to and from the city centre
- Hiking
- Due to weather and conditions of the trails around the resort we have had to cancel the guided hike. Alternatively the NLRC would like to offer free admission to the heated pool & hot bub from 11am – 4pm. We will have hot chocolate and treats for those who come up to visit.
- Golf
- Due to weather and snow on the greens we regretfully have to cancel the junior putting clinic. For those who would like to have some instruction, our Associate Golf Professional, Justin Ford will be providing instruction inside the hotel. We will have our Langford room set up for golf lessons with popcorn and a WII station from 12pm-2pm.
- Tennis
- Bear Mountain Tennis Centre tours 1pm to 4pm. Come and meet new Tennis Director Russ Hartley
